Mathura born, Smt. Piyoosha 'Anuj' received musical training from her mother, Dr. S. Kuntal, and blessings from her father Prof. Tribhuvan Kumar Ji. In childhood she had musical training from Vishnu Kumar Ji and in young age from Pt. Mani Prasad Ji of Kirana Gharana.

Karauli (Rajasthan) born, Smt. & Sri. Devi Lal's son Sri. Kailash 'Anuj' during his childhood got musical training under the guidance of his parents and blessings of his elder brothers, Sri. Hari Charan Ji (D.D.G - All India Radio) and Lect. Chail Bihari Ji.

Career

Kailash Anuj has completed his Master’s Degree, (Gold Medalist). Piyoosha has also completed her Master’s Degree from Delhi University. The Anuj couple has completed the M.Phil. (Vocal Music) from Delhi University, India.

The Anuj Couple have started their career from All India Radio & Doordarshan, and are qualified "A" grade Singers/Composer (AIR), and listed on the panel of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Govt. of India.

Concerts

"Anuj Couple" have been blessed by the Honourable, Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma, President of India. They have been honoured as "Bhajan Ratna" and "Bhajan Mani" by Bharat Vikas Parishad, and have received many prestigious awards. The "Anuj Couple" have performed Devotional Concerts at prominent parts of India along with Usha Mangeshkar, Anuradha Paudwal, Anup Jalota, Ravinder Jain, Chanchal, Hari Haran, Kumar Sanu and many other famous singers. These programs were organized by various reputed individuals, industrialists, cultural/social/spiritual organizations such as Taj Festival, Jhansi Festival , Dussehra Festival, Kumbh Festival, Badri Kedar Utsav, and the Ramayan Mela in Ayodhya. The couple has also performed for fund raising in aid of the physically handicapped, Cancer Hospital, Earthquake, Tsunami, and for Kargil. The ICCR have arranged many programs in India & abroad.
